 Australian radiopharmaceutical company Telix Pharmaceuticals is set to expand its global presence through a major deal with German isotope specialist ITM Isotope Technologies Munich, in a transaction valued at up to $3.3 billion. The ASX-listed company has agreed to acquire ITM in a deal involving an upfront payment of at least US$1.65 billion, or approximately $2.3 billion, in Telix shares. ITM is a privately owned company specialising in the production and supply of medical radioisotopes and has a distribution network reaching more than 65 countries. Telix chief executive and managing director Dr Christian Behrenbruch described the agreement as a significant development for both companies.  A light aircraft crash on a rural property south of Brisbane triggered a significant emergency response on Monday after the impact sparked a rapidly spreading grass fire. Emergency crews were alerted shortly after 11am when reports emerged that a small plane had come down in a paddock at Chambers Flat. Residents in the area raised the alarm as thick smoke began rising across the surrounding rural landscape. Firefighters arriving at the property discovered aircraft wreckage scattered across the paddock and flames moving quickly through dry grass. Authorities said the fire covered an area estimated at approximately 300 metres by 400 metres, creating challenging conditions for crews responding to the incident.
